So I want to mix my own 1:1 batch of macragge blue and altdorf guard blue for my space marines and fill it in a bottle. Is there anything important to concider? Also, can I thin it down with water or should I leave it without water and only thin it down if I'm painting?

I would recomend you put a pot each of the 2 clours and lahmian medium into a pot.

Thanks. Question though... I have an empty Vallejo Game colour pot with 17ml . What percentage would you suggest? 45%/45%/10%?

Get something like a 40ml bottle and have a 1:1:1 ratio.

It depends on how many marines you have to do. A 17ml squeezy bottle might work for several squads, although if you're doing something giant a 40ml may be wise.

As to doing the thinning, keep it to the point when you're actually using the paint on the models. A drop or two of paint in the pallete and a drop of Liquitex Flow Aid made up 1/10 with water is what I usually do.

Evay metal recomended you dip the brush in water before you dip it in paint.

If you do thin with water, make sure its distilled ,or in a few days/weeks/months it will start to do some funky things most likely.

Tap water is okay for on the pallette thinning, as your using it up as you go and it doesnt have time to sit stagnant and grow things.
