Guardian hordes are not effective without special weapons. The first list should drop the spider exarch and maybe something else to get some long range guns for each squad. I like the monster mash and horde feel, but the long range guns are key.
The points spent on an exarch with toys would buy 2 special weapons....think about that.

Second list is good except for the d cannons. They nearly double the cost of the platforms, with half the range and limited use. Certainly not bad, but very overcosted. The merit of the support platforms is thrift. Points saved here gets more jetbikes to guard the seers, or a warlock for the cannons, or more warp spiders, etc.

I agree with you about the guardians using a platform. I would normally run them with platforms, but I have exactly 10 warp spiders and one is an exarch so I try my best to wysiwyg it best I can. Do you think list one would be effective against any army? Such as Quad tide, taudar, eldau, flying circus, etc...? I like the idea of the list and Would love to bring a good MC list. The d-cannons are used primarily for area denial, and Av 14. I just don't have a ton of tank killers in list 2 so that is why i brought them primarily along with them being so good at area denial. What should I get with the extra 75 points?

What if I drop the Exarch, and the Direavengers and add a wave serpent for one of the dire avengers and platforms for each squad? so instead of 2x20 it would be 4x10

second list has my vote. although they can both be great, if you drop some upgrades and stuff. like spider exarch, and plitting gardians into 10 man squads.
