While looking through YMDC I see that someone did CPR on a 2 year old topic. Poster made a comment and 2 posts later it was locked. I know on Bartertown, old topics 'fall off'. I see here that is not the case. Is it possible to 'auto lock' a topic after X amount of time has passed since the last post? Topic would still stay on the board but no longer be able to take new posts. The time frame to be locked would not be know to everyone. I only see a problem in making sure it only applies to certain topics and not the whole site.

You get a warning if you try to post in an old topic, but we dont blanket lock them as it can lock out useful things that might need updating. For example, people post about an old rule and a consensus is met, then a new codex comes out which completely changes the discussion. A new thread is ok for that, as is appending to the old thread (allowing all the old readers to see the update).
