Hello everyone, this is my first skorne list it is only 35 points, as it is an escalation legaue and that is what we are starting at. so with out further ado

War Room Army

Skorne - New Army

40 / 40 (35+5) Warlock(s) : 1/1 Warbeast(s) : 3 Battle Engines : 0 Solos : 1 Units : 2

Archdomina Makeda - WB: +5
- Bronzeback Titan - PC: 10
- Molik Karn - PC: 11
- Titan Gladiator - PC: 8

Agonizer - PC: 2

Praetorian Swordsmen - Leader & 5 Grunts: 4
- Praetorian Swordsman Officer & Standard - PC: 2
Paingiver Beast Handlers - Leader & 5 Grunts: 3

The only reason the paingivers are maxed is I had one point left over and that is all I could think of to do. Please let me know what you think.

For you extra point, I think you'd get more value out of a Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew or a Feralgiest than the two extra Paingiver grunts.

As for your beast selection, I'm not sure you need/want both BB and Molik at 35. Personally, I'd drop Molik for a unit of Cataphract Cetrati and Aptimas Marketh or and Ancestral Guardian. My raisin is, if there are experienced players in your meta they may be familiar with and able to counter the Molik missile leading to frustration on your point. Contrywise, if the whole group is new, they you may grow over reliant on the tactic stunting your learning curve. Either way, I think a few more models on the board is a good idea.

What does your collection look like? Are you trying to decide what to buy? If so, maybe look at Morghoul instead. The starter box is a heck of a good deal.

Looks good. I 2nd the Swamp Gobbers. I think BB and Molik are great together, Beatback on MK will let him tear through an entire unit then fate walk back with Savagery clear out of harms way back to your beast handlers to strip all that fury back off. having said all that I tend to agree that both BB and MK are a little much at 35, because you need a gladiator for rush I would be tempted to drop the BB, at that point you could drop the beat handlers to a min unit, max out the swordsmen and add in a krea and brute. This will allow a Rushed and Enraged MK with Savagery to charge out kill some models and fate walk back to be both within range of the Krea aniums and shield guard from the brute. Brute also allows Makeda from being knocked down which will ruin your day. She will be very hard to take down with the krea animus and a brute shield guarding her.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

How do you counter Molik Missile?

I agree 3 heavies may be too much. pMakeda just don't give multiple beasts anything except a +2 to hit and possibly cycling Savagery so 2 beasts can move up. That is not enough and doesn't work with Enrage. With that list pMorghoul would help you alot more.

There is two things I like very much with pMakeda and that is 11" Molik Missile and 12" Cetratii with Shield Wall. Preferably both at the same time, but you need Marketh for that. Example:

pMakeda +5
Molik Karn -11
Brute -5
6 Cetratii -11
Tyrant Commander and Standard -3
4 Beasthandlers -2
10 Swordsmen -6
Swordsmen UA -2

You can start by giving Cetratii Savagery and Press Forward. They then move 12" and with reach has 14" threat range. Later, you activate them first, moving and attacking, after that you can have pMakeda go up, give them defender's ward and feat so they will be extremely hard to destroy. After Cetratii have engaged (turn 2), give Savagery to Molik and he walks back and forth 11" each turn and also bounces 4" around enemy lines between attacks with Side Step.

Any trick that stops you from charging is ignored, which is good some times. Also alot of units that you can run most of into enemies during feat turn. If you keep 1-2 unit members safe, they come back next turn (just watch out for Remove From Play).

For infantry I am a nihilator man myself and recommend them. They do compete for spots against swordsmen though. I recommend gators with a taskmaster and a box of Incindiarii after that maybe some slingers, dirt cheap unit that can make some points back and take some fire from other key units.

I too love my nihilators! As far as shooting units, I rely on the slingers. They're pretty awesome. With a little luck I've managed to clear out unreal amounts of infantry in a couple of turns. They've even scrapped a wounded Khador jack (ok, so that was only one time, but it happened!).
