Tryin' to create a competitive list which I want to go to my first tournament (don't know when, but I want ) while keeping the fluff and style. Tell me what ya think:

edit: The Lord rides with the Bikes to destroy things like Havocs/Devastors/Long Fangs etc.

If you want a competitive list don't use chaos in this edition haha only joking. One thing I will say though is the more drakes you add the more competitive your list becomes.

I run my lord similar, slaaneshi
On a mount,
Outflanking w/ acute senses
W/ power sword (or black mace)
Combat familiar
Potentially 13 attacks

The claw nerfs the initiative bonus

You only need to run 5 in the blastmaster groups...save points

The laspred is better overall than the Havocs...but each his own.

The raptors may be fun, the bikers will be a big target, but they are cool, too.

Trade out the powersword on the noise champ for the doom siren...you won't be rushing into anyone, but when you get assaulted, it means 2 almost autodead

Keep the aegis...the quad gun has always come in handy for me...

If you tweak it up, your only weakness is lack of troops...


I run this crew all the time but, I haven't tried raptors yet

Both the blast master rhino and laspreds sit on my back line, the rhino is in the middle.

The cultists hide in ruins or behind stuff to get objectives...I've even held them in reserve before.

Basically I bunker down til the drakes arrive...I don't advance the other rhino or anything...


The only army I have serious trouble against is nidzilla...I do OK against tau, depending on my opponents tactics and I've been lucky vs. Mechdar, and i crush bike armies not having lost to them...yet

My tactic is to eliminate all opposing troops or scoring units, and ignore all others til the end. This is why nidzilla typically mokes me...I can't hang with the monstrous creature spam, the best I've done against them is leaving two MCs on the table, and I was tabled.

you put power claw. There is a power fist (sx2, I1) or lightning claw which is normal initiative-unclear on which you were using

Ah, thanks, I mean lightning claw. In German, power sowrd, power fist and lighning claw etc. all use the word for power.

My fault, my list was for 2k points...
