Looks like a fun ability, but no EPT is a big drawback. A regular interceptor with PTL can make very similar maneuvers for the same stress, but with a lot more flexibility when you don't need/want a double move. Hopefully the remaining high-skill pilot will be a little better.

From the way he looks, giving him access to pilot skills would be too good. He's already a great pilot (depending on price), pilot skills would make home more of a no-brainer than Fel.

Exactly, using the bank which can be positioned curving forward or back, coupled with being able to position the base front to back or vice versa, means he will be a slippery little so and so.

I can see him being a real terror for low PS ships.

1v1, sure. The problem is low-PS ships tend to have superior numbers, and it's a lot harder to dodge overlapping fire arcs from multiple ships. And since you can't take a focus or evade token if you use the special maneuver that's a really dangerous situation to be in.

I don't think it would be too bad. Having to take a stress token to use his ability puts a pretty severe limit on what you can do with EPTs. You're either taking a cheap EPT like VI just to get a small bonus and not waste the EPT slot, or you're taking something good like PTL and only using it some of the time.

(Don't forget that a green maneuver only clears one stress token, so if you PTL and use the special barrel roll you're screwed next turn since you can't clear all your stress.)

FFG's Upcoming page recently moved the Imperial Aces release date from Q4 2013 to Q1 2014. BUT, it's now listed as At The Printer finally, so I bet we'll have them in January.

anyone heard any updates on when this set might get released?
