Hello everyone,
this is my first real conversion, hopefully you like it It started as a Marneus Calgar model which was donated by a friend who didnt want it, so I decided to chaosify him, which ended up leading me to creating him into an alternate Abbadon model to use then the base creation idea was started with an old marine i had lying around, bust him up and get some bits, voila my first scenic base as well so feedback would be great appreciated on how i can improve in the future with both modelling / conversions and the painting, thanks and enjoy!

Nasty Nob

'Ere an dere

Looks very nice indeed. Though, what I think Iike the most, is that Blood Angel with his face pushed down in the dung.

That's pretty cool! A 'bits list' would be good to see for those less familiar with the Chaos kits (like me )

I'll do what i can
*the head is just from chaos tactical marines
*spikes ontop of shoulders / above head i think are from termies
*the heads on the pole and skulls on chains are from the chaos rhino bits
*the spinal cord inbetween the skulls is from one of the chosen backpacks from DV
*the sword is from the DV chaos lord (Kranon i think?)
*the spikes covering most purity seals are from various, spiky bits i dont know of
*the claws were cut from lightning claws from the raptor / warp talon bits
*skulls on the back of his fists / claw were just cut from the front of skulls from the rhino chained skulls bits
*the large skull on his right shoulder i believe is from tomb king bits of some sort
hope that helps some, i wasnt really paying attention to where i got the bits from as i made him xD

This is a great idea, well executed and the freehand is great. The only thing i can see is the sword looks a little funny being held by the powerfist.

Maybe it's such a powerful daemon weapon that the only way to safely wield it is in the energy field of a power fist!

It's a great model. I think it deserves a more detailed head though

Looks awesome! I have recently bought Calgar and his honour guard in hopes of converting them to use with my own custom chapter and I was wondering what you used to get rid of all the ultramarine symbols on the model? I assume you used the finecast model? I've tried filing them down, cutting them off, sculpting green stuff overtop and I haven't quite reached the desired results yet. There are just so many of the damn symbols ! Very nice work indeed.

Yeah I agree but I'm afraid my skills definitely aren't up to the point where I could get a non-powerfist arm on there in substitute!

Yeah I agree about the head, this one will stic until someday I end up with a better one in my bits collection aha.

I actually just cut the ultramarine symbols out of the center portion (which was replace with a skull, and a spinal cord) and just shaved off the other ones located on the amour plating portions
