So, by a stroke of extreme good fortune, I managed to get over two hundred dollars of Dark Eldar for $14 out of pocket. As thrilling as this little coup was, as I went through my after-purchase ritual of opening the box and examining all the sprues to see what kind of nifty goodies will be left over, I was hit by the stark realization that Raiders and Ravagers have poky bits sticking out from every facing.

How do Dark Eldar players transport them?

Very carefully in foam, for the most part.

Friend of mine is transporting his DE in that toolbox .

Advantage is you can fit the raiders/ravagers standing on their bases into the bottom. We learned that packing them in foam isnt a good idea.

KR do a full size foam tray that holds four, and seems to support them on their stands...

Their foam is also a lot softer and squishier than battlefoam's, which might be good for the delicate bits that stick out...!

Battlefoam is comparatively expensive, but works well.

While battle foam is definitely great it might still break small sticking out parts suchs as the grisly trophies. I find that shredded paper in a box works nicely because there's nothing solid in contact with these small parts, it's just way softer and flexible than battle foam. I do have my raiders and ravagers magnetized but I imagine it will work out ok anyways.

Tablewar!!!

Its the safest way to transport any fragile items.
I've had my case now for about 1.5 years, and I have not looked back. My old transport cases are now just used for storage.

KR.
The custom trays they have are just for this, and their foam is so soft and easy to tear.
If the spikes are in the wrong place for the tray to support, cut the foam until it fits.

The DE1 takes 4 of either, with a hole to drop the base into.
It comes to $54.99 for the foam in a cardboard case, as it is a full-size tray.
