Hi,

I am going to play a 1250pts tournament at my club in a couple of weeks.
We will have some quite nasty lists there (2 serpentspam eldar, TAU with riptides, broadsides, flyer heavy necrons....)

With Grey knight i find it hard to remain competitive at low point level but here is what i am going to play :

HQ :
Coteaz

Troops :
5 GKSS, psycanon in razorback (psyamor)
5 GKSS, psycanon in razorback (psyamor)
5 GKSS, psycanon in razorback (psyamor)
3 Multimelta servitors, 2 jakiro, 2 henchmen in chimera

Heavy Support :
Dreadnought with 2 autocanon (psyamo, light)
Dreadnought with 2 autocanon (psyamo, light)
Dreadknight with teleporter and heavy incinerator

Coteaz will of course go with the servitors, with some luck i will get the increase range on the multimelta and ignore cover and prescience from Coteaz for a nasty tank busting squad.

Do you have any comments?

Having to Snap with the melta servitors will be a big downside. If you're hoping for the increase range jokaero roll, why not just get meltas on Warriors? They won't have to snap...

Meltas on warriors will only be 12" range while the multimelta will be 24".
With potential jakiro increase that makes it 36".

The aim is to keep this unit without moving if possible not to snap shot.

I would only move and snapshot against fliers i think (or if i really wont do anything without repositionning)

But the Jokaero roll (which you are unlikely to get) would increase the Melta Warriors to 24", making them Assault 1 Meltas, instead of the Heavy that's on the servitors.

If the MultiMeltas have to snap whenever they move, then you may as well Cruise the Chimera on T1, getting 12" of movement. But then, since they're snapping anyhow, the Warriors with Melta would also be snapping (because of Cruising Speed). So the Chimera essentially extends the range of the Melta to 24". Then you can move more slowly on T2 if the tank survives (which it won't), allowing you to use normal BS.

It just seems like you're really depending on that specific Jokaero result; and if you're doing that, you should take full advantage of it.
You might also put a couple Crusaders in there, just for the 3++ when the Chimera inevitably explodes. It'll make the squad a little bit more survivable while they stand around in the crater. 15pts is the cost of a SS in the SM book, and our SS comes with a power weapon!
