Well, last time I asked for your favorite baneblades, and the Shadowsword seems to have won!
Now, I ask for your favorite Land Raiders, the biggest metal boxes of all!
Keep in mind, this is a contest of general coolness, not actual effectiveness on tabletop! Now let the voting commence!!
Looted ones don't count.
I like the Achilles, because it's pimpin'.

Most Land Raiders suffer from trying to do too much without excelling at anything. The standard Land Raider is an anti tank platform, but it also has ant infantry weapons, and it's also a transport vehicle that wants to be up close and personal when its guns all have long range. It just doesn't do any one thing particularly well. The Crusader is much more unified in its purpose: getting up close and personal and unleashing tons of troops and close range anti-infantry firepower. It's my favorite without a doubt.

Theres nothing like having a rotating quad-barrel CANNON on the front of your personal pimpmobile, Achilles all the way

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

I am torn between the Crusader - which has a cool name and a cooler purpose; or the Redeemer. But ultimately for me, purging filth with fire will always win out, so Redeemer.

The "standard" land raider is the best. Without serious weapons, like sponson TLLCs, a land raider is little more than a glorified rhino - a vehicle that costs roughly a tenth of the cost.
If you're going to spend that kind of points on a vehicle, you might as well have it do stuff in its own right. Enter lascannon sponsons (and a pintle multimelta, if available).
Crusader is fairly fun.
Not good for anything barring APC-ing stuff but I like the look of hurricane bolters even if they are pathetic.

There are three Land Raiders I like. The first was posted earlier (even if OP said it was "illegal"). Next are the ones wrecked (or at least immobilised) in my opponents deployment zone. And finally:
because, how else is a land raider going to get to where it needs to if it doesn't deep strike?

The Crusader. It's got a pretty simple job. Transport my squad of murderous terminator-armored lunatics close enough to the enemy to launch an assault without getting shot to pieces. I've only lost it once in this edition, so it's pretty reliable for the points. It doesn't have a huge amount of firepower, but with the ability to damage even heavy armor (I take the melta) as well as infantry squads, it makes a good 'janitor' unit to mop up anything that fell through the cracks at the end of the shooting phase.
This isn't about gameplay, remember? Just pick the coolest one.
Being effective is cool I also really do like the idea of this monstrous machine just spitting death in every direction only for a mob of bloodthirsty Blood Claws/Assault Marines/Black Templars/Assault Terminators/Flesh Tearers just to come roaring out of it into the enemy. Love that tank.

Achilles. Just love the model and it fits SO well with my Imperial Fists fluff.
Farseer Faenyin 7,100 pts Yme-Loc Eldar(Apoc Included) / 5,700 pts (Non-Apoc) Record for 6th Edition- Eldar: 25-4-2
Record for 7th Edition -
Eldar: 0-0-0 (Yes, I feel it is that bad)
Battlefleet Gothic: 2,750 pts of Craftworld Eldar
X-wing(Focusing on Imperials): CR90, 6 TIE Fighters, 4 TIE Interceptors, TIE Bomber, TIE Advanced, 4 X-wings, 3 A-wings, 3 B-wings, Y-wing, Z-95
Battletech: Battlion and Command Lance of 3025 Mechs(painted as 21st Rim Worlds)
For me, the Redeemer became a true favourite, after I noticed that the Crusader's Hurricane bolters are a joke compared to the angry yet short-ranged AP3 promethium.
I'd love to use Land Raiders more regularly - if they'd actually raid some land, instead of stopping to the first twig they'll face (CRUDDACE, Y U NO DOZER BLADES?)

Extremely well put !
For the same reasons, the crusader is my favorite, though i do love me some redeemer too in the right lists.
I think even cruddace realized how impractical dozer blades are on a vehicle that opens in the front...

I've seen conversions for dozer blades on chaos raiders where there's a mini-dozer blade for each track housing, in a way that the front door wasn't impeded.
That said, I've never used a land raider of any kind, but I can imagine the frustration of losing 230+ pts of tank to a poor role. Or at least having its usefulness reduced from said roll...
