Wanted to try something new with the Wolves that doesn't use Allies, Fortifications, is a little fluffy and can hold its own. So...yeah, on that note here's what I came up with, thoughts?
HQ
Logan Grimnar: 275pts
Rune Priest: 110pts
Chooser of the Slain, Living Lightning, Jaws of the World Wolf
Troops
8 Wolf Guard: 198pts
1 w/Terminator Armor, Power Ax and Combi-plasma
7 w/Combi-plasma
-Drop Pod: 35pts
8 Wolf Guard: 198pts
1 w/Terminator Armor, Power Ax and Combi-plasma
7 w/Combi-plasma
-Drop Pod: 35pts
5 Wolf Guard: 130pts
1 w/Terminator Armor, Power Sword and Heavy Flamer
4 w/Combi-flamers
-Drop Pod: 35pts
5 Wolf Guard: 130pts
1 w/Terminator Armor, Power Sword and Heavy Flamer
4 w/Combi-flamers
-Drop Pod: 35pts
6 Wolf Guard: 108pts
Chainsword and Bolt Pistol
-Drop Pod: 35pts
Heavy Support
Long Fang Squad: 140pts
1 Squad Leader
5 Long Fangs w/Multi-meltas
-Drop Pod: 35pts
So I have 6 pods coming in allowing me to choose 3 to drop in. Logan and the Rune Priest always join the Long Fang squad (giving them relentless the turn they come down) and then my other 2 pods, depending on what I'm facing are either the Plasma Squads or the Flamer Squads. Thoughts? it's very straightforward and works well against pretty much any kind of army with all its bases covered.

At 1500 points this isn't going to suffer much. You will have to worry about Flyers still probably. There's always that one guy with a Heldrake to consider. Its the only reason to consider an Aegis really.
But beyond Flying MCs and Flyers you don't have anything to worry about at 1500 points. You have enough troops on the ground to cause some pain, and your alpha strike will hurt the enemy a lot.
Honestly, I'd shift Wolf Guard around so you had 6 units of 5 in Drop Pods so you had 7 Drop Pods. But beyond that, this will serve you well enough. You couldn't expand it easily to 1750/1850, but if you aren't interested in that...

I'd give the little naked 6 man squad boltguns so they can camp objectives and contribute a little support fire here and there. They'll get themselves killed going for assault and they won't contribute to shooting with just pistols.

I agree with cowmonaut with shifting your squads to have 7 pods. You would have 4 coming in on turn 1. ouch. The durability of each squad will just be stretched real thin but with some smart maneuvering it might work.
I actually think it won't be that difficult to grow the list... ML long fangs and a Runepriest on an ADL with divination will help with the flyers and AV in bigger games. You could also add some Thunderwolfves. The opponent will have his hands full with the pods which gives the wolves time to move into assault range.
All in all I like this list.

you might could switch the naked squad to GHs for a free flamer, plus you get bolters and bp and cc.
cool list though, I never really thought of Logan working at 1500 but this just might be his sweet spot

I wouldn't really dismiss flyers at 1500, I go to a lot of tourneys in the uk at warhammer world and I'd say atleast 70% of people who go have atleast 1 flyer, out of those 70% I'd say 40-50% have multiple, ranging from 2-4. Apart from flyers I don't think you really have anything to worry about. I'd maybe try and squeeze a melta or 2 on the naked squad as if something happens to your long fangs you've no back up. Ie lots of tau units with interceptor taking out your only at unit....good list overall though. Solid man!
