Subject: Help me Build an Iyanden / Wraith Army (1850)

This list isn't meant to be competitive although I would like to play games with it so making it at least playable would be good. This army is just meant for me to paint and stick in my cabinet.
At the moment I have the list below, just wondering if it can be improved on in anyway.
Basically all I want are Wraith units except for the Warlocks, Spiritseer's and Farseer which are kind of mandatory for what I am doing.
The main thing for me is if I should drop the Wave Serpents for Wraithlords or something... I am not much of an Eldar player so I do not know what would be best
I might have gone over the top on the HQ section, there are a lot of pts invested in that area and I am unsure if I need it all...
The other idea with this army is to be able to join it to my Dark Eldar at some point. I figure lots of Conceal / Reveal, Protect / Jinx and Embolden / Horrify would be useful with massive Poison spam...
The List
1x Farseer
4x Spiritseers
3x Warlocks
5x Wraithblades - Ghost Axe & Forceshield - Wave Serpent (Scatter Lasers, Shuriken Cannons)
5x Wraithblades - Ghostswords - Wave Serpent (Scatter Lasers, Shuriken Cannons)
5x Wraithguard - D Scythe - Wave Serpent (Scatter Lasers, Shuriken Cannons)
5x Wraithguard - Wraithcannon - Wave Serpent (Scatter Lasers, Shuriken Cannons)
1x Wraithlord - Brightlance, Ghostglave

Hey! Are you running the iyanden supplement? It will probably be worth it!
Ok, farseers are good in these lists, but perhaps not needed? In uber competitive list you won't see a Farseer if they're all in serpents. Also, your only option is to run him with the warlocks - and that unit will probably die quite quickly!
Spiritseers are a must, though 4 might be excessive. If you run Iyanden their primarus power becomes voice of twilight which is uber useful!
Axes and blades are pretty terrible. Especially I'm transports as they're not assault vehicles, so you can't get out and charge. Leaves you standing there for a turn of enemy shooting!
My list has so far been very comet active, I'm not saying it's unbeatable - maybe I'm jus lucky with who I've faced! But it's not too far off yours, mine is:
2 x spiritseers 1 with wraith forge stone,
2 x 5 Wraithguard in 2 x serpents with S Lasers, cannons and holo's
2 x 5 Wraithguard with scythes in 2 x serpents with S Lasers, cannons and holo's
2 x wraithknights stock. Automatically Appended Next Post: Edit: that's a 2000 point list though!

You sought to cower behind your walls, weakling? Instead, by the will of Khorne, you shall die behind them |

I wanted to try and avoid Wraithknights if possible but I might look into using them if needs be.
The fact Serpents are not assault vehicles is a tad annoying :(

It does suck that they're not transports, and the reason units of 5 blades are terrible! You could plant your seer in a squad of 10 walking axes, but you lose serpents for that, and I love serpents!
Wraithknights don't have to be taken! I think they're one of the best units, but not needed! Two are 480 points, 3 wraith lords with BL/BL are the same cost. They're slower and less wounds over all with a worse gun in my opinion. But they do get precision shots and can issue challenges as they are characters. The iyanden supplement also allows one of these to be your warlord......but then it also allows a knight to be your warlord!

So if I make it 1 unit of 10 wraithblades and get rid of 1 or 2 serpent what should I spend the spare points on?

If you made a unit of 10 wraithblades to protect the Farseer - make sue you take axes. T6 3+ 4++ is tough to shift! If you run the iyanden supplement you can buy the guardian helm for even more survivability for the Farseer. Personally I'd still take a serpent for them. I know they can't get in it, but it's arguably one of the best tanks, and best units in the eldar book, and it doesn't cost you an FOC slot!
You now only need 3 spiritseers if you put one with each squad.
The warlocks are pointless as they can't join anything and you want your Farseer in the blades.
You now only have 3 serpents.
So, if my maths is right, that's 130pts saved on a serpent, 70 Pts on a spiritseer, and 105 Pts on the warlocks that's 305 Pts in total..I'd buy a second wraithlord with 2 x bright lance and a glaive, and buy a second lance for your other lord. That's 185 points spent what to do with the last 120 points is a pickle. I'd normally point you in the direction of warp spiders, but as you want wraiths only I'm not sure. Personally I wouldn't take a spiritseer for the blades. Dropping him would allow a third wraith lord.
So, in summary, with your list and what you have said you want to do, I'd go -
Farseer +guardian helm + wraith forge stone
2 x spiritseer
10 x wraithblades - ghost axes + serpent? TL SL & Cannon
(Farseer goes here)
5 x Wraithguard + serpent as above!
(Spiritseer goes here)
5 x Wraithguard with scythes + serpent as above
(Spiritseer goes here)
3 x wraithlord, each with 2 x bright lance, flamers, and ghost glaive.
Let me know what you think...I think it fits the theme you want...

pretty good list above. one thing is spirit sear with d scythes might do better with 10 blades or wraith cannons ,because the spirit mark wont help them. but, if hes there for the primarus, it makes since.

Well, Iyanden armies are very fluffy but not very effective gamewise, since you burry too much points into Wraithguard which is not seen until mid- or the endgame on the battle field. In the meanwhile, the Serpents or Wraithknights are doing all the work.
