After new Space Marines codex came out, I decided to build an +2000 points Iron Hands army.

As the current line of GW models does not contain any characters for Iron Hands, this called for some conversion work to do.

So with Iron Hands Chapter Upgrade kit bought from a friendly neighbourhood independent GW retailer, I took my tools and started the job.

These were made in a single session and are waiting to be painted at weekend.

This is Captain Sungur Málmur with either an artificer armor or a power armor and armed with ccw or stormbolter (counts as master-crafted boltgun or combi-whatever). Can be also Teeth of Terra or Primarch's Wrath.

I watched Predator last weekend just days before I started converting these

Just noticed that they match very well, although I did not plan it (sub-conscious is a weird thing).

That guy is actually Iron Father Carneus Vülgar (Counts as MotF), as I happen to put picture definitions when in hurry under them instead of top.

Quick kit bash with Dreadnought.

This one grew an melta to his head and now goes around asking from Xenos have they been Dreadnaughty or nice.

Did some details to the Melta insert's moving plate.

Now it has also a Dreadnought sized Axe with Chain Attachment.

This was taken of a Furioso Dreadnought's optional bitze since Blood Talons are great.

Painted the Dreadnought, except the melta part.

Brass seems to work well to the humble badass chapter and will stand out from standard troops.

The brass colour is used throughout HQ choises and othe characters in my army.

THANKYOU, someone finally saw how badass ironhands are.
Cheers to you mate, and i love how you made use of sprues and the altogether gritiness of the dread (all spacemarines should have grit, not cock, in them)

Thank you.

The Iron Hands novel's start sums very well the whole concept of Iron Hands. There is a scene where Cadians are fighting nurgle "zombies" and stumble upon Nurglemarines, and when Iron Hands come to take care off the Nurglemarines, the Cadian troops are not sure which way to run.

These guys have balls (maybe augmentic ones even), love tech stuff and do not show remorse to anyone. Gdolkin is pissed off nearly through whole novel and shows it to everyone, such as that Magos inside Gehenna's command bridge.

I try to model each one like he is raged at whatever he is hitting or shooting and Inpaint them sonthat they would not care less if something nonessential get scraped off.

This Carneus with Servo Harness with an eldar head as a trophy.
