Just a quick one, thinking of picking one up, but noticed that chaos landraider is same price as the normal one, but appears to have extra spiky bits? Is there anything missing from the kit to make up for this or is it just a bonus? In which case I'll get the chaos one, use it for marines and give the spiky bits to some orks.

Google is your friend, my friend. The first result I got had the answer. To answer questions, it's the normal LR sprue + the chaos bits. You are supposed to chaosify it yourself. Kinda cool if inconvenient.

A quick reminder though if you decide to go with the chaos version but use it as a loyalist LR: You won't get the loyalist transfer sheet that's generally accompanied, and the set of insignias and flare for the loyalist marines will have been replaced by chaos bits. You can certainly make a loyalist LR with it, but it might be a bit lacking unless you have some extra aquilas and such lying around.

Cheers, was planning to get a white scar kit from forgeworld as well, so the lack of pointy birds should not be a prob.

course if you DO have the extra aquilas and bits sitting around the chaos land raider might actually be the better buy. as it'll give you some delightful "chaos bits" for future conversions.
