rainbow dashing to your side

so after playing through a bit of dark souls I came across one of the bosses, chaos witch quelaag, and instantly needed her as a model and, to make a long story short, I now kinda want to make a full "drider" themed dark elf army with her and her sister as my 2 warlords though I need some help and a couple of shoves in the right direction.....

firstly, how possible is an all mounted dark elf army and to a lesser extent, how viable is it in game? I know that we have cold one knights, warlocks and black riders and pretty much any lord/hero can be mounted but do these choices fall under core and special/rare?

the next issue is the spider parts. I have about 20 odd goblin spider rider spiders but I'm gonna need some bigger and smaller ones so it would be great if you guys could point me in the direction of other spiders that would work for the job

finally, big monsters and bolt throwers. how on earth am I going to be able represent these? I know the arachnarork is a thing but will I be able to pass those off as,say, a hydra :?

thanks for any help you guys can offer. general modelling tips and ideas will be really appreciated too

also here are some pics of quelaag for reference (could maybe considered NSFW :/ )

The Goblin Spider rider bodies are the only ones that fit on rider bases, so not much alternatives there.
Reaper has some driders, but mostly too large bases.

GF9 has this one:

Personally, I would mix these driders with Drow (obsidian skinned Dark Elves from D&D), maybe with a GF9 Beholder counting as Hydra.

I saw an interesting conversion a while back, using BFSP Spiders as the body and DE warrior bodies from the belt up to make armed and armored driders to use as Dark Riders.

My job here is done.
