Subject: Question about 6th edition codexes

Elite Tyranid Warrior
|
I am a Tyranid player and I am really excited getting a new codex in the next few months. I was wondering what the thoughts has been about the quality of the 6th edition codexes has been (I have not read any of the new ones).
Based on the 6th edition codexes that you have see what has been your take on them? If you were to give them an overall grade (A-F) base on the quality of the writing (both fluff and rules), the art, the balance of game play (both as individual units and against other 6th edition armies) creativity, and an overall fun factor of the army in 6th edition. What grade would you give?

I like the print quality of the hard back books, but not the price. However, the art in the Chaos Daemons book was poor. The fluff in it was funny, but the pictures were bland. In the chaos space marine book, there is a picture of a helldrake taking down a vendetta in mid-air. fething awesome!

The Marine Standing Behind Marneus Calgar

I have both the Eldar and C:SM books.
Both are quite high quality, better is pretty much every way to the previous codexes. (That said, the last Eldar codex I owned was the 3rd ed one, which we'll just call "slim") The price is a bitter pill to swallow, but the books are quality products.

Ultramarine Master with Gauntlets of Macragge

Codex: Space Marines is a thoroughly excellent codex, and the amount of fluff and artwork is awesome. I've got that, Dark Angels, and Chaos Space Marines, and, as someone who's pretty much obsessed with aesthetics, I've been very happy with all three books. They're really nicely themed throughout.

In Warp Transit to next battlefield location, Destination Unknown

I bought the Eldar codex so she could field her Eldar army. I have read it from cover to cover. I also refer to it from time to time as I help her learn the game.
The artwork is top notch A+.
The Fluff writing is still an A.
The Rules writing is an A.
Army Balance I would give that a B+.
and the book durabilty I would give that an A as well.
