Two weeks ago I placed an order for four Sisters of Battle with Meltaguns. Two of each of the two types. This was because of the new Codex (yay, four Dominion special weapons per squad!).

They sent me four copies of Meltagun 2. Two of the blister packs were labelled Meltagun 1.

I got a refund and placed the same order again, explaining the mistake they had made and advising them to pay attention the second time around.

I once again received four copies of Meltagun 2. Two of the blister packs were labelled Meltagun 1.

Is this the end for Sister of Battle with Meltagun 1? Has anyone tried ordering a copy of her recently and successfully received her? Did she asphyxiate herself on her rebreather? Did she shoot herself in the foot with her downard-pointing Meltagun, obliterating herself?

I have placed the same order yet again (after receiving yet another refund), just to see what happens...

Did you call the 1 800 customer service? What did they say?

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Their lines are closed until Monday now (in the UK).

What annoys me most is the fact I sent them an extra note asking them to not make the same mistake twice, and I paid for express delivery the second time because I wanted the models fast and had already been delayed a week by the first order being wrong.

Something similar to this happened to me about a year ago. They kept sending me Sisters without backpacks. In the end I had accumulated about eight models for free (since they kept sending replacements AND refunds), all sadly without backpacks.

I expect I'll end up with a huge pile of Meltgun 2 models before they finaly send me a Meltagun 1.

Keep them until the inevitable thread from the guy/gal who's being sent only Meltagun 1 models because GW ran out of Meltagun 2.

I ordered heaps of battle sisters some time ago and every time i got a squad they would send me the same blisters. For example squad one they sent me 3 identical blisters so that squad until i got replacements had only 3 posses and one superior. Useless lol. And by replacements i mean getting more of them to spread out the pose.

Sounds like you should just keep ordering, and then have fun on EBay, lol.

The quality control at FW is atrocious and everyone knows it, but it's fairly amusing that GW's own QC is so blundering. I'd imagine it's not a model shortage, but more a short term inventory issue where the models were mislabeled/sorted and nobody in the warehouse has any idea which model is 1 or 2 to realize there was a problem.

I'd say its much more likely that the person packing up the models simply ran out of one blister pack and instead of getting more just used the other one. That sort of thing happens from time to time.

Somewhere in south-central England.

Incorrectly labels on the blisters easily explains it. The person packing wouldn't necessarily know what a Sister 1 and 2 look like if he even looked at them, and would rely on the official labels.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

I hope they do run out of Sisters. It might get them to actually do something with the army. While the current AS codex is useable, I find it lacking as a fully realized army.

Yeah I really hope they run out soon.. these super old metal models gotta go. I would seriously build a SoB force if they'd produce new stuff in plastic.

I wouldn't wish too hard. If Sisters get new models, they'll get new models. If they don't they don't. But the supply of metal figs has nothing to do with that.

I don't think that they need to run out of metal models to make plastics. We do know that they'vem tried making plastics before, after all, and obviously the metals are still around today.

Also, on a related note, has anybody recieved the Sister on the right from GW recently?
Spoiler:

I've ordered a fair few packets of SoB troops and have never gotten that one, but that could just be chance. Just wondering if it's still around.

In my entire SoB army I don't own a single copy of that model. I have seven copies of the other helmeted bolter sister but zero of that one.

I do have two copies of the Melta Gun sister that GW are refusing to send me though.

There's a healthy number of them currently for sale though on you-know-where.
