hi guys and girls, joined up the other day and I figured It would probably be a good idea to post up a painting blog!
I've just got back into the hobby after about 10 or 11 years out of it, im still getting back into the swing of painting and trying to remember half the teqniques I once knew! but this site is an awesome resource and its really got be back into it!
anyway I've never really been one for playing the game much so theres no real structure to what im painting but I've got a vague idea of an ork speed freak horde that I want to build, with some freebooters on the side, but im sure other stuff will catch my attention in between, I've got a bit of a dark angels force too which im very slowly working my way through, although I think i'll probably grow tired of painting them and sell em on before I've finished!
none of these are really finished yet, and now I've got them up on the screen I can see there's more work needed on a few of them but it shows where I'm at painting wise! any tips or pointers would be really helpful!
oh and i'll be basing them with a desert theme, I've just not got around to it yet!
a few dark angel assault marines, need some more work on the weapons and fine details. I got dark vengeance to start me off and these are a lot better than the tactical squad i first painted!
dreadnaught, again theres a few more details i can see that it needs now, plus the base finishing.
jump pack chaplain, another ebay purchase like the assault marines, i need to get another shoulder pad to swap in but i couldn't resist painting it,
onto orks now...
a few storm boys, painted up evil sunz, a couple need finishing off, was pretty pleased how they came out!
one of the killer kans
and a nob and painboy
I've got some burna's and a boyz squad to paint up too, plus I've got some of the maximini ork pirate heads coming so i can make up a freebooters squad or two and some of the cybork heads to i can make the nob squad look a bit more cyborky!
i'll post up some more pics as i get round to painting some more! i'm rather a slow painter im afraid!
cheers
steve
