EDIT : Following the request, i added some clearer pictures of individual models.

Hi there,

this is my very first paintjob, what do you think about it?

The guy on right with the big hammer is darker than the others because I washed it all over with Badab Black, though I don't really like this method so it's the only one I treated like this.

I took more than 48 hours (approximately 12h per model) to paint them all, i know it is very slow, but i prefer to take my time seeing that i'm a beginner .

I paint them unassembled as i think it is easier, i use latex gloves and for the last one i used a computer fan with a plastic bag as an extractor for the dust because there is some ruggedness on my previous figures and i hate that.

I dilute my paints (all Citadel) with a ratio of 1:1 using tap water. They are all varnished with pure Prince August's Polyurethane acrylic matt varnish using a brush.

To prevent my paints from drying when i use them, i built myself a homemade stay-wet palet using greaseproof paper and paper towel in a food storage box and it's much easier that way!

Any advice is welcome, I want to improve.

Thanks for your replies!

That's very good for your first mini's, I certainly wasn't doing line highlighting on my first.

Would need clearer pics of individual models to really help, but they look good. Nice job.

Awesome work, especially for your first models. What's really clear is that you've taken loads of time and effort on these to get a great result, which is something a lot of new painters often do, intentionally or otherwise. With this quality from the start, you'll get some good experience and soon be putting them out to this level in half the time.

I say again, Great Start

Definitely an above average paint job which is doubly impressive if its your first ever. I suspect some UM purists would have an issue with using all the BA bits but it's still clear what they are and there is no confusion with them actually being Death Company.

Man I wish my first attempts turn out that well!
