Like the title says its been a long time between drinks and I am slowly getting that urge to get back into the hobby, but as I have noticed there has been a lot of changes since I last played (3rd edition and quite a few years now)
Basically now I have some free time on my hands, I am going to do this army which consists of Flesh Tearers, my favourite marine chapter to date, even though some say the BA dex had been nerfed, I cant get over the fact I like assault marines, especially blood thirsty ones!!
And the DKOK allies you ask? well besides the models from forge world being stunning and that I've always wanted to paint them, they are probably the only guard regiment that would willingly fight besides the flesh tearers.
And yes a modelling diary will be done when I get all my hobby stuff back together and old models sold, but enough rambling, here is the actual list

The basic ides behind this edition as I try and get my head around 6th edition is, vindicators move up together refused flank style, with all assault marines, sang priests, libarian behind them. Libarian uses Shield to grant cover save to vindicators and all assault marines, preists to provide Feel no pain and Furious charge for assault marines.
The dreadnought drops in, cannons something to death, then draws fire hopefully causing a distraction.
Guard platoon blobs up and sits on an objective is possible or in cover, creating a hail of fire in overwatch if anyone charges, command squad behind to give orders, commissar joins blob, sergeants used as challenge bait.
Oh and I can't forget marbo, pops up says hello, demo charges something expensive and hurty then creates another distraction.
