Yo, I've been playing my Wych/beast army since 5th ed when the new models came out and my old models hit the shelf. Anyways, it's not so great in 6th edition anymore, so i could use some suggestions as to make my army work decently enough to play in tournies though i really don't care about winning. I'll post my current list first, which generally does do decently when I am ringer in my local tournies, but i don't want it to be a free win against another good player.

Now that's what i've been running because we play as modeled and that's what i have. This is a list i'd like to try out but would like some suggestions before buying more shiny plastic.

I would only have to buy 3 beasts for this list, but I don't like having only 3 scoring units that are 5 man suicide squads. And at the same time i need some anti-tank...Drop 2 wych squads, get a ravager and warriors?

If you don't care about winning, you need to use whichever models you enjoy most (I'm sure you already know this)..

I would just use Warriors instead of Wyches if you wanted to make a change.. and give them blasters.

Big Incubi squads will likely get 1 turn of CC and then get blasted to pieces when your opponent realizes what they are.

2 Squads of 5 might be better.

Your beastpack is illegal, you would need 6 masters for that squad which you can't do. You could drop the fiends and get another flock which works well.

Played the second list i posted (minus a fiend and add a flock, as suggested) against a drop pod heavy ultramarine list and won only by First Blood, Linebreaker, and Slay the Warlord.

My main problem was no way to take out flyers, and drop pods with Storm Bolters actually hurt DE, and didn't have much to kill those with.

Anyone ever try warriors on an Aegis Line for AA?

I'm actually toying with a Imperial Bastion rather than an ADL.

3 Reasons mainly.

1. You get 4 Heavy Bolters to play with which is good if you take 5 Scourges with 2 Dark Lances to man them. BS 4, 2 Using Dark Lances, 3 Using Heavy Bolters and AV14 so just as hard to kill as a Land Raider.

2. The roof has a 3+ Cover Save. I am sticking Baron Sarthonix on top of it because he has Stealth making that a 2+ Cover Save. On top of that he has a Shadow Field so he has a 2+ Invul (until he fails a save) against any ignore Cover weapons.

3. Its got a Icarus Lascannon or a Quad Gun on top of it as well (Baron manning it).

Slightly more expensive than an ADL but I think worth it.

That's a great idea. My chaos army did very well using a bastion, shooting 4 rocket launchers out of it and the other havocs manning heavy bolters when needed. And the Icarus is awesome. Do you put a squad with Baron up there?
