With the up and coming release of the new Inquisition Codex I have started to pick up some of my older conversions and make new ones to repurpose into a small Inquisitorial Force.

To start with here is where I am at so far, bit of an image dump but I'm quite happy with how things are going thus far.

As for some progress my Elysian bits arrived and I have set to work on making up some of my Crusaders. They still need alot of clean up a Greenstuffing, and the number 4 pose will be nursing a stomach wound when finished to explain the posing there. Got alot of work to do on the acolytes for the other 6 people.

I also have made some progress on 3 more Death Cult Asssassins with the upper bodies/arms done and just waiting on my bits order for the legs to arrive.

Excited to see where you're headed with this. It has a very promising start! Always been a fan of your conversions.

OK some updates, some changes and some stuff now that the new Inquisitorial Codex has dropped. Firstly the Ordos of the list that I am making has jumped from Malleus to Hereticus (as far as picking an inquisitor goes) this is due to a Nemesis Demon Hammer being cheaper and batter than the Thunder Hammer and only available to malleus.

Secondly, given the apparent lack of ability to put a Lasgun/Autogun on an Acolyte for a reason that is well beyond me I am now having to count the first squad of Acolytes as having Las pistols despite how they look. I will attribute this to the feudal lasguns lacking the right ranging.

My second squad (shown below) will be a Hotshot Lasgun group just because I really like the Elysian lasguns and couldnt count them as pistols without feeling bad.

I have opted to add a priest to my combat henchmen squad (3 crusaders, 3 assassins, 1 priest, Inquisitor) for some extra punch and had fun assembling him from my bits box. Now for some pictures:

More progress made, 3 more Death Cult Assassins done now bringing their total upto 4 which is one more than I will need in my 600 point force but variety is always nice. I also finished painting up one of the Crusaders who has been in the showcase for the last day but I'll post here too for completeness.

The head I believe came from the WFB Empire Flagellant kit that I used a while back, they do a good "fanatic" effect

Cheers, the aim is to have 600 points assembled by December so I can get back into gaming (infantry should all be painted by then) so I've just got to order my Redeemer and 2 x Chimera to inquisition up. That should give me my base list of:

Which I have all members of the warband for.

After that I'm expanding into a Xenos Inquisitor + Long ranged warband for variety.

Thanks and yes, it can also ally with itself, however it is a very limited list (upto 2 inquisitors, upto 3 warbands)

Bit more progress, the first 3 Death Cult Assassins are now done and my tanks should be arriving for assembly tomorrow. Next up to the painting table is the Priest followed by the 6 man acolyte squad.

Nice DCA. Like the rest of this blog, this has given me some ideas for my own Inq army (hope you don't mind me stealing/borrowing them). I'm looking forward to what you do with the Land Raider.

Also, I love the unit names in the army list, very characterful and cool.

Thanks guys, I have the torsos for a few more of my assassins but need to pick up some more Wych legs on my next pay day to actually assemble them. For now my parcels have arrived with two shiny new Chimera and a Landraider, both chimeras are mostly assembled but need a little clean up but I havent started work on the Landraider yet. Nothing monumental has changed from the base Chimera, mostly iconography and tank commanders being altered with one gaining a more personalised turret barrel. Here they are in WIPness:

Love the tank commanders, very simple yet characterful.

First game with my INquisitorial army this afternoon so I'm looking forward to seeing how they fare. I've been looking at allying in some marines for a bit of staying power in future and did a quick test on a Librarian I had laying about:
