The title says it all. With our codex lacking any kind of flyers, and at one point or another they FAQ'd Njal's weather mojo affecting flyers (even though the Imotekh's lightning apparently still can), we are at a lack of any solid anti-flyer gear. Short of parking people behind an ageis defense line, how do you guys handle it?

So far, the only things I've come up with are Divination Rune Priest+Long Fangs, or throwing a Wolf Priest+Long Fangs and giving them preferred enemy: Flyers. Either way, I'm essentially wasting an HQ choice for the chance to rerolling for s.

Any thoughts?

Allies are a good way to handle flyers. Grab a C:SM allied squad and bring a storm raven.

A squad that's had prescience thrown on them has a 30% to hit flyers. This means you can throw long fangs at the problem if they are rerolling misses.

You can build your army to not care about flyers. 40+ wolf guard terminators don't really care all that much about helldrakes.

You can always grab a quad gun on a bastion -- though that's not really true anti-air. Your going to need more than just that. Don't bother with a ADL in today's meta -- the bastion will keep a squad of long fangs free from wave serpents.

I've never actually run a bastion. That might be interesting. Do you find that the stationary position interferes much?
