Hello, I'm fairly new to the 40k. Below is the list I'm planning to take to a tournament soon:

HQ:

Necron Overlord with ws, mss, ccb (gauss)
Destroyer Lord with weave, mss

Royal Court:

Despairtek with abyssal staff, veil
Destrotek with eldritch lance, solar pulse
Necron Lord with orb, mss, ws

Troops:

10 warriors with ghost ark
9 warriors with ghost ark (destrotek goes with these)
19 warriors (lord goes with these)

Elites:

10 deathmarks (despartek goes with these)

Fast attack:

6 wraiths with 2 whip coils (destroyer lord goes with these)

Heavy support:

Anni barge (tesla)
Doom scythe

=1844p

Everything is magnetized so I can change the weapons etc.

Is there something I should consider changing in the list? I'm not planning to be the most competitive in the tourney as it's my first one so I'm just going to see how it is (and propably get me ass kicked hard ) Any advice for tactics?

In addition to the models I already listed I have these:

10 scarabs bases (really like these, but they cost pretty much so I didn't know what to drop from the list for them...)
monolith
trazyn
imotekh
10 lychguard
20 immortals with tesla
10 flayed ones
c'tan shard
x lords and crypteks

So. Any tips and comments are appreciated.

Well to be honest the list looks fairly solid. The only thing I might consider -but mind you I haven't had a lot of experience with- is drop the barge and doom scythe for the monolith and half the death marks so you can squeeze in some scarsbs. This way you have a LoS blocker as well as the potential for a (high risk/high reward) deep stike to instantly pull those 19 warriors into double tap range. Also helps get a template that I think will work better than the DS and AB. In my experience 1 barge doesn't do a whole lot. It usually takes 2 to get consistent damage/focus. Also never have had much luck with the DS. But that's just my opinion. Hope some of this helps.

CCBs are cool but they will get destroyed right about the time you get your lord into melee. Then your lord will be stuck with a 3+ save at your opponent's line. I recommend a weave and/or phase shifter and an orb. He's going to get pricey but at least he'll survive. I have never had success with a CCB lasting long and my lord almost always get beat down because he doesn't have anyone to back him up. If you don't want to spend the points on weave and/or phase shifter, consider putting Arankyr the traveler on the CCB. You lose the MSS and gain a Tachyon arrow and nice special rules.

I would probably drop the destrucTek as you only have the 1, it's almost moot.

As the only flier, I would probably go with KelCJ's suggestion and take your Monolith instead of the doomscythe. Monoliths are AV 14 all around and have a str8 Ap3 template that will make the space marine players cry a little on the inside. The DoomScythe will go down very fast where the monolith will absorb all the lascannon/melta/lances your opponents have. Keep the A-barge, they are the best AA unit the necrons have outside of other fliers.

Solid advice from Warmonger, I pretty much agree with what he said. I do think he's bringing the Destrotek mainly for the SP though?

The Deathmark unit could be skimmed to 5 if you are looking for points to get something else in there.

If you decide to drop the CCB you can add an RO to the Overlord and replace the normal lord in your big brick. Go ahead and push it all the way to 20 if you do this, and strongly consider Phaeron. 20 Relentless Warriors are nothing to sneeze at if anything gets close to your backlines, particularly when backed by a solid OLord. Since he's replacing the lord in the unit, you could get a Detrotek here (or a Chronotek, but I would only advise this if you are going to get SW and PS for the OLord).

So maybe something like this:

Necron Overlord with ws, mss, sw, ps, ro, phaeron
Destroyer Lord with weave, mss

Royal Court:

Despairtek with abyssal staff, veil
Destrotek with eldritch lance, solar pulse
Chronotek

Troops:

10 warriors with ghost ark
9 warriors with ghost ark (destrotek goes with these)
20 warriors (Olord goes with these)

Elites:

5 deathmarks (despartek goes with these)

Fast attack:

6 wraiths with 2 whip coils (destroyer lord goes with these)

Heavy support:

Anni barge (tesla)
Monolith

=1792 (i think? going off the top of my head here) So you got some room to play with.

The Olord is expensive, and could be swapped with Imo for those points. Of course, that's a whole nother bag-o-tricks that may or may not work with your play stile.

I never leave home without my scarabs. I'll come straight out and say I've never been in a competitative tourny but I can say that of all the units I have (and my own army mirrors yours pretty closely), my scarabs have consistently earned their points back in either decimating armour and occupied buildings, or tar-pitting troublesome enemy units. Their fast, fearless and usually draw fire when they beeline across the table. I love these guys.

Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate it. I've thought about your tips and made some changes to the list: I dropped the destrotek (yeah it was mainly for the pulse), doom scythe, ccb, 5 deathmarks and the normal lord. I added more wargear to the olord, monolith and another anni barge. And the previous poster's praise of scarabs made me add some of them too. (for some reason I thought they were couple of points more expensive when I made the initial list...)

my list looks like this at the moment:

HQ:
Necron Overlord
Warscythe
Mindshackle Scarabs
Sempiternal Weave
Resurrection Orb
Phase Shifter

Destroyer Lord
Sempiternal Weave
Mindshackle Scarabs

Royal Court:
Cryptek (Harbinger of Despair)
Abyssal Staff
Veil of Darkness

TROOPS:
10 Necron Warriors
Ghost Ark

10 Necron Warriors
Ghost Ark

19 Necron Warriors

ELITES:
5 Deathmarks

FAST ATTACK:
6 Wraiths
2 Whip Coils

7 Scarabs

HEAVY SUPPORT:
Annihilation Barge (tesla)

Annihilation Barge (tesla)

Monolith

Total = 1847

Chronotek would be nice for the olord unit, but I don't know what to drop for it,,, One possibility would be to drop the second anni barge and get full unit of scarabs ( ) and the chronotek... but I don't know if that's a good idea.

I'd drop 3 Warriors from the blob, and add the Chronotek.

The list looks good.
