So I've been playing Eldar for a while on and off and was looking to expand my collection in working towards an ally detachment for my army. Wanted to keep the allied detachment focused so it could all be used on the table but still give me a solid detachment.

Hq:
Farseer- Jet bike, Spear (120)

Troops:
10 Guardians (90)
Wave Serpent- Scatters, HF (135)

10 Guardians (90)
Wave Serpent- Scatters, HF (135)

6 Jet bikes- 2 Cannons (152)

Fast Attack:
9 Warp Spiders (171)

Heavy Support:
3 War Walkers- Scatters (210)

and for the DE detachment this is what I was thinking

HQ:
Haemonculus- Liquifier (60)

Troops:
3 Wracks (30)
Venom- SC (65)

5 Warriors- Blaster (60)
Venom- SC (65)

Heavy Support:
Ravager- FF (115)

Just look for any comments if this would be an effective pairing, thanks

Overall its a solid list, but you are very light on ant Av13/14. With all the serpent/venom dakka, consider running bright lances on your walkers. Once guided, they should be devastating against heavy armor. As is, any mass Av13/14 will be a challenge. The AP2 is also nice against terminators and the like.

For the ally detachment, why not do 2 units of wracks? Points saved can buy night shields for all of your DE skimmers, which are very useful if not required.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

i agree. also, know you could drop the shuiken cannons off the gaurdian jetbikes and give it to the serpent. only reason i say this is because with the serpent their twin linked, and will put out a tad mroe dakka. but, theres advantages to leaving them on the bikes, so its up to you.

I agree about moving the shurikens from your bikes to your serpents.
Also consider splitting the bikes into two units of three instead, or dropping them all together in favour of some more big guns (because you will still have 4 fast troop units). Like another ravager... then you have some serious light armour target saturation..

Only advantage I can see with DE is all the poison they have: great for dealing with high toughness so the Venoms with some I think "Trueborn" with the 3 hvy weapons make a great monster hunter.

The AP13-14 stuff is usually dealt with by fire dragons in some wave serpent delivery.

There is some durability to the DE so some easy pain token = feel no pain units are welcome in the mix.

Play to their strengths.
