What is the official stance on upgrade cards? Am I supposed to buy every set at least once to get all the cards if I want to be able to use them? or is there some legitimate place I can print out all their rules from?

Anything hosted by FFG and most other tounaments require all original cards and models. In friendly games it's really up to your opponent what s/he's okay with.

Not really on the up-and-up, but check the X-Wing wikia page. They have scans of every upgrade card. I just sized them correctly, printed them on cardstock, and put them in FFG small card sleeves.

The unoffical sqaudron builder app thing has every upgrade and you can build your list and print it off and it will have the upgrades and what they do without needing any cards very handy.

Is there a PDF of this? That would be really helpful for me.

I ask because it would be easier to just have a reference sheet than individual cards (since they get lost/ traded, etc).

I don't know. I'm not hugely tech-savvy at the best of times, so I actually saved all the cards as images, and then I paste a grid of the ones I want into paint or Gimp, and then size the whole grid correctly. Print, cut and sleeve. I'm kind of a compu-caveman.

Hmm well if you have your preprint file still, that'd be cool. I grabbed images of them from a site but haven't sized them yet.
