Well, with the new Space Marine codex on the way, I at least see little reason for entirely new chapter codices, and creating your own chapter tactics would be a simple way to make things balanced, yet fluffy. The current ones are good, sure, and can support many different playstyles already, but not necessarily your own chapter, or one you wish to play. That's my situation at least...

As I try to figure out whether I want a preset chapter from GW, or to create my own, I present you this thread where I wish to see people post their chapter tactics. You could always throw in a unique character, for good measure (but please, keep things balanced).
