Hi

I'm going to try to get some friends into the game, and would love some suggestions on good, balanced lists that will explain and show off the game without being too advanced. Both smaller and larger game lists are welcome.

Here's what I have:

Alliance:
- X-Wing (core set)
- A-Wing
- YT-1300
- B-Wing
- HWK-290

Empire:
- 3 x TIE Fighters (core + exp)
- TIE Interceptor
- Firespray-31

All of it. No, seriously. Get a big group of people and run one ship per person, limit one upgrade. You pick the upgrade, so nothing ridiculous (like Soontir Fel w/PTL) comes into play. Each person will be able to focus on getting the hang of one ship, but use teamwork, and everyone can get involved. I'm speaking from experience, btw. It was a huge hit in a game club I joined. As was a 9 person zombicide game, but that story is for another thread.

That sounds great and I'll keep it in mind for later, but this time it's just one person at a time

You need more friends/acquaintances/game-enemies.

Id probably just say start playing 50 point games, My girlfriend gets overwhelemed with the number of ships espically if they all look the same and dials are very similar. 50 points you can run the 3 tie fighters take some of the named pilots and have a blast. For rebels rob run the xwing awing with few upgrades, Maybe missles to try them out and see how good they can or could be. I wouldnt introduce the big ships till they are comfortable with the play style and understand how their manoeuvres really work.

My girlfriend also really dispises the whole one ship left manoeuvres, when she cant shoot down my shop or catch them in firing arch.

Thats just my two cents. Im sure if they like the game theyll want to build their own list and you can tell them whats good or other options. Also (feels like my girfriend hates playing this with me but i make her so lol) She hates when i give suggestions because she wants to do it herself and beat me based off of her smarts and not me telling her something. aha

Xwing is one of my favourite games i hope you can get more people in to it its alot of fun,
