How accurate are the seers-is there any information on how soon it will happen, if it will?

Its about as accurate as any prophecy is, albeit the more believable ones because of the different sources all pointing to the same thing. The thing that sells it to me as being believable is the fact that the story can be found in the black library, famous for holding forbidden info. We an assume it will be sometime soon, due to Taggarth proclaiming the coming times are coming, this cold very well coincide with Rhana Dandra. The Phoenix Lords believe it is coming, and have been fighting/prevent/preparing for it for thousands o years. When it will happen? realistically...never. Gamesworkshop will never advance the story line and we will never get into the 41st millennium. But we can dream!

I doubt the Rhana Dandra would destroy the Imperium.

Cinematically, the Star Child would be born and would do battle with the scions of chaos, eventually triumphing but likely sacrificing itself in the process.

Honestly, reading up on this one wonders if it's really just an eldar myth on the end times/rebirth

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

The Star Child rising (Also, I thought that was retconned?) and the end of the universe (Rhana Dandra) are not necessarily mutually exclusive, because the Rhana Dandra chronicles the final battle while the tar Child theory is about the Emperor being reborn and 'neutralizing' the chaos gods. But we already know that the death of a chaos god could result in much worse do-do. All we know about Rhana Dandra is that the P.Lords will be involved and its going to be the final battle. Everything ends, we know that.

There is about as much chance of the Rhana Dandra happening as there is any of the other big events happening, orks uniting, tyranids fully invading, necrons all waking up, the emperor rebirthing, the primarchs returning, chaos winning ... the list goes on.

Basically there's no chance.

In Nightspear some Seer forsees the death of the Imperium bringing about the Rhana Dandra, so the Imperium might not get the chance to be destroyed during it.

The Rhana Dandra is said just to be the end of the Eldar, nothing that i can find says about other races joining in or being destroyed....but i shall continue to look

No because she has to fight the Ultramarines and their plot armor. Ultras+plot armor = auto loss.

In before thread lock.

thanks like I expected GW wouldn't say anything that explicitly says a race will be destroyed.
