If I take a sorcerer in terminator armor and swap out the combi bolter for a force weapon, and he gets in combat, what happens? Which weapon does he use? Or do I just pick one and he gets +1A for having 2 CCW?

Thanks

You pick which one to use, and you will get +1A with either of them.

Hmm.. okay thanks. So I guess then for multi wound models the better option would be the force weapon, and for everything else use the power weapon to cut through armor

force weapons are power weapons with extra rules, so power weapon is useless unless its a different type of power weapon

Indeed.

You can have a Force Sword, which is a Power Sword with the Force special rule.

The same goes for Axes, Mauls, and Lances.

Oh cool. So do you think it would be better to go for the force staff for the increased strength or the force sword for the increased AP?

Depends what you're hitting.
Against a Monstrous Creature, a staff is much better.

most monstrouc creatures also have a 3+ armor save so will just save against you ap4 wounds

This.

For instance you can have a Force Axe and a Power Sword, that way you can choose between S5 AP2 I1 attacks or S4 AP3 I4 attacks. (You could even make this a power maul for S6 AP4 I4 attacks).

Power Maul for hordes, Force Axe for Meganobs and non EW HQ units.

You can't swap out the combi-bolter for a Force Weapon. You can swap it for a Power Weapon, but you'd be paying over 10 points for an extra attack (and some flexibility if you take a different kind of power weapon to your force weapon.)

The only tricky issue is what happens when you model a force spear/lance. Most players I know look at a spear and say its a force halberd/axe.

Staffs don't have blades, so I'd call a polearm a force axe.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.

If it was just a spear I could see it being just a staff. If it had a big blade on the side or a hook then it could be an axe.

What I really want is a Force Lightning Claw though

If its a Spear, its a Force Lance.

If its a halberd or polearm, its a Force Axe.

That way,then left

Except there are no force lances, only staffs, axes and swords. So a force "spear" would either be a staff or an axe
