Unusual but not unheard of late fall storm is just hammering the midwest & Great Lakes region today... Already at least 11 tornadoes confirmed in just Illinois alone. The town of Washington Illinois has literally been erased.
Really serious situation, made even worse due to the time of year as it gets dark much earlier, making it nearly impossible to see these storms coming.

The Baltimore vs Chicago football game was delayed by 2 hours due to tornado warnings in the Chicago area.
And all this is heading into southern Ontario for tonight, with possible tornado watches/warnings for the Windsor/Sarnia through London area... The western GTA could even see wind gusts up to and possibly over 100 km/hr. (should make trying to sleep really fun...)

EDIT: Now reports of apparently 72+ tornadoes along with 3 dead and at least 37 injured.

Hope all you Dakkanaughts caught in the path of this system stay safe tonight.

We had some really nasty storms where I was at (northern Indiana), probably the worst I've ever seen. Fortunately it wasn't anything serious enough to call a weather alert over at my university.

72+ tornadoes... that's ridiculous. I can't even begin to comprehend that. Seeing a map of all their flight paths would be a thing to behold.

Like watching other people play video games (badly) while blathering about nothing in particular? Check out my Youtube channel: joemamaUSA!

It was really windy here. Lots of rain.

We're good, though. Knocked over a mesh iron swing though. That's f'ed up!

A blessing to those who have been harmed by these storms.

Windy as all get out here right now ... kinda nervous about the shingles on the house. I so do NOT want to put a roof on as the cold starts to set in. Power has been flickering as well.

Now, we like big books. (And we cannot lie. You other readers can’t deny, a book flops open with an itty-bitty font, and a map that’s in your face, you get—sorry! Sorry!)

It looked like freaking St.Louis here when the rain finally came down... Just a solid sheet of water running down the street.

Weather Network is saying the high winds will soon hit us.

Quiet here. But I'm on the coast. The way things are going I'm sure we'll get nailed with a Northern Hurricane before too long.

I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn

My patio chairs were all tipped over and the trees were going nuts.... but nothing too crazy.

We had a few people lose trees at work, but nothing serious. The big cell that spawned tornadoes in Washington, IL and destroyed homes missed us.

Same where we were, but we did have security announcements about a severe thunderstorm warning. I'm just glad that the worst of the damage seems to be some power outages

We had some gnarly rain come through, and some really high winds, but that was it.

I was actually at a concert last night, and one of the bands was from California...and they mentioned how they've never been though/seen a tornado before, and they almost got caught in one yesterday on the way to St. Louis. But no worries, they made it alright

Massive wind in Pittsburgh and where my lady friend was in Ohio. Lots of rain too. She told me about the hurricanes in Illinois. Glad none of my coworkers happened to pull Illinois duty this weekend.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
