With the new Inquisitor Codex, I'd like some help understanding the interaction of Red Hunters and Inquisitors.
Again, here's the rule from Red Hunters:
FW Chapter Tactics wrote:
By This Seal: When using the Allies Matrix, all models in the Red Hunters detachment count units from Codex: Grey Knights and Sisters of Battle as Battle Brothers so long as an Inquisitor is also present in the allied detachment.
And the rule from Inquisition:
Codex Inquisition wrote:
An army may include an Inquisitorial detachment in addition to any other detachments. Other detachments, such as allied detachments, additional primary detachments and fortifications can be taken normally. So, for example, you could field an army with an Imperial Guard primary detachment, an allied detachment of Space Marines, and an Inquisitorial detachment.
So, as we can see, the Inquisitorial detachment is something not in the BRB, something additional to Primary or Allied detachments.
So you cannot get an Inquisitor in a Sisters detachment, since the Inquisitorial detachment is something else. How, then, is it possible for Red Hunters to treat AS as BBros? Automatically Appended Next Post: My RAI interpretation would be, "If you take an Inquisitorial Detachment, then Red Hunters treat AS as BBros."
But that doesn't seem to be RAW.

With out a sisters supplement from either GW or Forgeworld you cannot. I noticed that Valeria is not in the new Codex. This might be because they plan to include her in a sisters supplement(from one of the two publishing houses) at some point in the future.

When this was first pointed out the answer was "it doesn't work now, but wait and see". So you could go either way on RAI: the chapter tactics rule was written before C:I was final and at that point inquisitors were added to a detachment instead of forming their own, in which case RAI is that you're supposed to treat them as BB. Or you could argue that this is a reference to a future product where SoB can have an inquisitor in their own detachment, and the rule does nothing until that hypothetical future product is released.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices. |

If anything, Karamazov would be in Sisters, since he's Ordo Hereticus. Having Ordo Xenos Inquisitors reserved for Sisters supplements would be silly.

By this Seal: When using the Allies Matrix, all models in
the Red Hunters detachment count units from Codex: Grey
Knights and Codex: Adepta Sororitas as Battle Brothers so long
as an Inquisitor is also present in the army
I think that solves this nicely.

Well, for even cheaper, just take two Inquisitors for you Inq Detachment, and two Inquisitors for your GK HQ. Without any other upgrades, that's 220pts to Prescience four units across the battlefield. GIve one Termie armour and a psycannon, give one Rad/Psycho grenades, give one a conversion beamer and some skulls....
I'm most excited about sitting a Prescience Inq w/ Conversion Beamer with my Battle-Brother Red Hunter Devastators. It looks good on paper, and they'll have Skyfire or Interceptor should they need it.
