Hi guys,
I've decided to get back into gaming after taking a couple years off. Im still getting reaquanted with the new rules but I've had a go at making my 2000pt Necron Tournament army list. The plan of attack is to load up the Overlord with the LychGuard inside the night scythe and try and get them into cc while the the core troops advance and shoot. The wraiths will take both flanks and the scarabs and the spyder will go in search of tanks. The Harbringer of Despair Cryptek will go with the deathmarks and use the veil of darkness to find a key position and hopefully reign some death on selected and marked units. The other two crypteks will join the immortal squads and the Annihilation Barge will sit back and try pick off units. All criticism welcomed, like I said Ive been out of the game so Im not sure what a competitive list is anymore. But I wanted a fun army to play also and not one just designed to win.

If your lord is going for melee(a risky gambit for non canoptek units) drop the arrow. Its a 1 shot that won't make a different against anything that unit should be charging. For your lychguard, you want as many as possible to protect the lord and benefit from the res orb. You also want a lord/cryptek here, the harbinger of the storm would be best. Haywire staff makes for easy cracking of a transport then charging(this is generally easily denied) and makes other assault units take damage before fighting against you. Overall, not the best unit but not terrible.
Despair and deathmarks is classic, and still good despite the FAQ nerf.
A trans harbinger works best keeping back to just snipe tanks/MC's with the harp. Could be just as easily dropped, and consider the seismic crucible to protect them.
Wraiths are fantastic, so are scarabs. For scarabs, you want more spiders....perferably at least 3. For the price you pay you get a dead lethal MC. Dropping the trans harbinger gets you 1 more, for more scarabs and MC fun. The particle beamers are OK, but your spiders generally want to run to keep up with the scarabs. Combined with wraiths, you get a lot of nasty fast assault units. Again, spiders are dirt cheap and you need at least 3.
A barges are also awesome, and another would make a great choice to round out heavy support.

Thanks for the input, I think I will drop the arrow and try and add at least another spyder and some more lych guard. Need to think about this carefully. I dont particulary like the Spyder models, I was thinking of using the forge world tomb stalkers as a replacement. But not sure if it is allowed as they look quite different.

You've also got a really decent amount of close combat with the wraiths and scarabs.
You may want to think about dropping the lychguard in favour of a couple of Doomscythes or Heavy Destroyers? I'm not sure though. It looks like a great army

Yea I might look at dropping the Lychguard but I just love the models and the whole story behind them. Mmm think its back to the drawing board.

Ok guys, Ive done a small re tweak. Dropped two crypteks along with couple immortals and lychguard and also dropped the particle beam from the spyder and added two necron lords with resurrection orbs, another spyder and another annihilation barge.
What do you guys think, have I improved the list of made it worse?

I'm not crazy about the normal Lords with Res Orbs unless they are in a 20 brick of Warriors (in which case they should really be Overlords w/Phaeron), Lich Guard or a "special" unit of Immortals (either Phyrrian from Anrrakyr or upgraded by Szeras).
I would drop those and beef back up your LG unit. The key to that unit is making it as big as you possibly can. If its to small, it's Reanimation Protocol threshold is to small and they will just get wiped. LG HAVE to roll for RP to make their points.
Personally, to give the best test, I would drop both reslords, one Wraith from each unit, and then put it back into a Semp Weave for the Overlord (which is really a great item), a Chronotek for the OLord/LG unit (because a 2+/3++ OLord will eat a ton of bullets for your LG), and then as many LG as you can muster. That will give you a true indication of what that unit is capable of.
