As the title says.
Fearless models can't go to ground.
CD are not fearless, but are immune to stuff.
So simple question, can they go to ground?

Daemons are not "immune to stuff" exactly, they simply pass most of those tests automatically.
The only catch is that they cannot choose to fail those tests.
Since choosing to go to ground is not choosing to fail a test, they can do it.
At least this is how I see it.

The fearless USR is what prevents models from going to ground. Unless your unit is fearless, it should be able to go to ground.

They are not fully fearless, they still take tests for losing close combat.
It's in the Chaos Demons codex, I believe it's called instability or demonic instability. It explains it in there, but yes they can willingly go to ground it explicitly states it in their codex.

Yeah...it's kinda like that. |

They pass all morale and leadership tests automaticly, and only test for leadership for psychic powers and daemonic instability, so technically are fearless but do not have the rule fearless, so yes they can go to ground.

It is worth mentioning that this goes right along with being immune to the psychic power 'Terrify'. It also allows you to G2G with anything, which is particularly hilarious on models like the Great Unclean One or Daemon Princes...
