Hi there,

I am new to painting and have purchased some Grey Knight Terminators for my first army collection.

I am a little stumped as to how to paint them with what paints I have.

Would I get away with the following:

Prime: black spray

Base: bolt gun metal

Wash: badab black

First highlight: chain mail silver

Final highlight: mithril silver

Purity seals: Mephiston red, blood red, snakebite leather, brown wash, bleached bone

Bolter: black, silver, red

Melee weapons: regal blue, ultra blue, skull white (mix for blending)

--

I know I'll have to fill in the gaps, but do you think in that armor painting process they should come out okay?

Would you dry brush or wet blend the silvers? Or just hard highlight them?

Thanks,
Trale C

I'd personally reapply the Boltgun after the wash to clean up a bit and make for a better transistion (washed bolgun>boltgun>chainmail etc) but that looks about right. For a smooth transistion I would blend the silvers, if you're painting en-masse or in a hurry I'd dry brush the.

Grey Knights in mass? But they are so costly!

Sorry yes, I would have done that for sure, clean up the wash with another diluted layer of bolt gun!
