Hi all,

I recently started getting back into painting, and was looking to get an airbrush. Ever cautious, I was looking for something on the cheap side and will upgrade if I keep at it. I've seen a few cheaper compressors and models in these forums, just wondering if this would suffice - just note that I'm not expecting to win awards (yet ). Here is the link

It is roughly $140 US dollars for an airbrush and compressor, most of these cheaper items seem to be for nail painting - or something.

Anyway, any advice would be great. Particularly from people who have (or had) similarly priced items.

thats pretty much what i got and i have been very happy with it, i recently went the extra mile and upgarded the brush to a H&S evolution, the compressor is still going strong and i have the old airbrush as a backup.

Looks good, thats pretty much the average AS186 compressor, does the job just fine. The airbrush, is likely hit/miss, might be great, might have trouble. For the price, no complaints. Nice bundle of accessories too.

I wouldnt be too suprised if the airbrush turns out to have some sort of problem, a lot fo the cheaper made ones have hit and miss operations; a few are great dont get me wrong. but theyre cheap enough to just get another anyways. Once comfortable looking after it I'd suggest springing for somehting better, like perhaps the H&S Evolution already mentioned (Im a very happy owner of an evolution sivlerline 0.2mm)

'Ain't nothing crazy about me but my brain. Right brain? Riight! No not you right brain! Right left brain? Right!... Okay then lets do this!!
