Hello,

I am currently running a version of the Farsight Bomb and am also running O'Vesa. I want to make the regular Riptide unique as there is not currently an O'Vesa model. Could someone help me get ideas on how to make a Riptide look like O'Vesa, and what paint schemes you think would look good. Yes to be accurate with the fluff I could just paint them Farsight Enclaves colors, but I kinda want my army to look unique from anyone else's. Suggestions?

If you have pictures of your own Tau forces with your paint scheme, or you have pics of you modeled riptide etc. I would greatly appreciate it if you posted them.

Well, this is my riptide.

I have done a few, small adjustments to make it stand out. First off, I clipped the pins from the socket joints to add some extra flexibility to its posing. This allowed to get the riptide to lean forward and really look like it's sprinting. I didn't like the shield's size, so i cut some plasticard to extend the shield. Other than that, it's just the basic riptide kit.

Wow! That looks really good! I like your adjustments. Thanks for the help! Could you please tell me what color paints you used and how you did your base? They both look badass!

The orange is GW troll slayer orange and the white was skull white if I remember correctly.

Just doing my part to help. If you don't like the idea of the exposed pilot, it can be modeled just as easily with the "visor" (riptide shoulder pad) down.
