If I have a primary detachment (lets say space wolves) and a allied detachment (blood angels), the primary has three drop-pods and the allied detachment has one. Do 3 droppods come down turn 1 (2 rounded up + 1 rounded up) or 2 (half total)?

Your "army" has 4 pods. So the answer is 2

How do you know this?

I'll help. Page 124 says that you treat all of your units when looking at reserves, and the DT page in the Codex also says "all of your Drop Pods", making no mention of detachment or armies, simply all you own, divided by 2, rounded up.

It says half of your drop pods, not mentionning detachments.
You have 4 pods.

And you can drop them in any combination. If both detachments have two pods, you can drop both from the primary, both from the secondary, or one from either.
