I am relatively new to Chaos Daemons. This is a list I need some advise on.
How does this list hold up as a TAC list and how can I make it better?


1000 Daemons of Khorne


HQ (300)
- Bloodthirster w/ Greater Reward, Exalted Reward

Elites (240)
- 15x Flesh Hounds

Troops (210)
- 10x Blood Letters w/ Blood Reaper
- 10x Blood Letters w/ Blood Reaper

Heavy Support (250)
- Skull Kannon
- Skull Kannon

For an all khorne theme you can't go wrong. As far as a TAC list you will have trouble. You have no effective AA so any list with a flier or two will have little issues. BL are by far the coolest looking of the troops but they are by far the worst of the lot. In terms of making this better what models do you have available to select from?

Do Bloodthirsters have access to a shooting attack of any kind? That could be enough anti-air if you keep him swooping. I know they used to have a Plasma Pistol equivalent shooting attack.

The Bloodthrister has a whip attack, I am not sure he has any other shooting attacks other than a possible template weapon which I don't think can effect flyiers.

I would take soul grinders instead of skull cannons. They have access to skyfire weapons and still have the phlegm bombardment, but you dont really have the points for them unless you take off some flesh hounds and a greater reward, maybe.

But mostly you have the right idea. Only take the minimum bloodletters, and focus on:

flesh hounds
bloothirsters
daemon princes
soul grinders and skull cannons

I'd talk to khains wrath about Chaos daemons, hes a bit of an authority when it comes to that. Hes got a lot of experience and good advice. I'll send him a link to this in a PM.
