I've always wanted a Grey Knights forced and loved Inquisitor Coteaz's model... so I'm making an army that's centered around his strengths. It's an Inquisitorial Henchman army with some terminators (love those models as well). I did a lot of research and here's what I've come up with:

6 Pykers, 3 Servitors (3 plasma cannons), 3 Warrior Accolytes (3 bolters)

-Inquisitorial Warband
8 Death Cult Assassins, 4 Crusaders

-Inquisitorial Warband
9 Warrior Accolytes (6 bolters, 3 plasmaguns) + Rhino (Search Light)

-Grey Knight Terminators
+1 Terminator, 4 Daemon Hammers, 2 Halbreds, Psycannon

HEAVY SUPPORT

-Dreadnought
2 Twin-linked autocannons, psybolt ammunition

-Land Raider Redeemer: 246
Search Light

ELITES

-Vindicare Assassin: 145

-Purifier Squad: 181
2 Psycannons, Rhino (searchlight)


I think this list would be extremely sturdy. All the units are useful and play an important role in the army. It's got:
- Good anti air (Dreadnought, Psycannons, Prescience from Coteaz)
- Good close combat (Deathcult assassin deathstar in the land raider, GKTs for multiwound monstrous creatures & general purpose)
- Excellent power and quantity in shooting (Entire Army)
- Solid Anti-Tank (Psychic power from psykers, Vindicare Assassin, Dreadnought, Plasmas, Daemon Hammers + Hammerhand)

Please please please critique, I don't want to blow all this money and find out there's a major flaw or a better way to make this army. Only constraint: Coteaz as warlord, have at least 1 squad of GKTs/Paladins

1500 points right on the dot.



Basically the Psybacks and Chimera sit behind the Aegis while Coteaz gives the Plasma Cannon Servitors prescience and mans the quad gun. You got mobile troops to go grab objectives with the acolytes in psybacks, AA with the storm raven/Quad gun, and 2 NDK and can deep strike termies to clear off objectives or put pressure where needed.

In my list I swap out the GKT for another NDK but use what you like

Anyhow hope this helps you out a little.

I love it. Looks brutal as heck! Personally, I find the Dredknights to be pretty ugly, and so want to avoid using them if possible.

Is there a way to make a list like this more close combaty without losing any strength it already has? (I love close combat being a Chaos Khorne lord as well)
