In my army I have a heavy weapons henchman unit with Coteaz attached to cast Divination psyker powers to allow them to re-roll hits. Well, they have been getting a lot of attention from firepower that removes their cover so I have been thinking of putting them into a chimera so they have a bit more protection so I was wondering if Coteaz is in the transport with them, would he still be able to use his powers within the transport to buff the unit?

Pretty clearly stated in the BRB, important to really read it over because I think it changed from 5th to 6th.

I think it's dumb you can't malediction or witchfire out a firepoint.

hey what time is it?

You can use a witchfire out of a firepoint...

The 5th edition rules never explicitly allowed you to use a fire point for anything other than firing a weapon. It was more of an unwritten house rule that everyone (including GW) used.

Why can't I malediction out of a vehicles yet I can witchfire?

Isn't the restricting factor of both spells LOS? genuinely curious

witchfires are specifically the equivalent of shooting weapons which is what fire points are used for

Because of Page 69: " Manifesting witchfire counts as firing an Assault weapon"

Firing an Assault weapon can be done through a fire point.

Also page 78 right column, 1st paragraph, second sentence.

Witchfires have explicit permission. Maledictions do not.
