I revisited my DA list last night and removed some toys here and there (ML 2, dozer blade, HKM, Perfidious relic) and a perfect pocket was made for a min., 5 man squad of scouts. I swapped the bolter for a cc weapon for free - that's it. The question is: what use is this squad? My only thought is to keep in reserve and walk on late game to capture a home objective; freeing up my tac squad to actually do something. What else?

For greater context, my list is Belial, TDA Libbi w/ PFG, 4xDWT, ML/Fl. Tac in Rhino, 1xBike squad with MM attack bike and plasma gun, and 2x TLAC Dreads, plus the Scout squad discussed above.

I would go with sniper scouts and cloaks for objective campers and/or infiltrators.

If you're going for outflankers I would go with shotguns and a combi-flamer on the srgt to threaten a weak squad, or as you mentioned some ccws but they won't be able to charge on the turn they outflank...

They are useful for objective camper (deck chair) units.
