Ok, I would like to maybe start a space marine army but dreadnaught based. I have 120points spare. How should I spend these? How are the load outs on my dreadnaughts?

I guess the plan is obvious, drop 3 dreadnaughts in first round via drop pods. One has a locator beacon so I can try and aim the next 3. I would also then have 2 of the ravenguard dreadnaughts in reserves and come on via outflank.

3 lots of marines to hold objectives and librarians to help with buffs.

I think this is a feast or famine list. If you happen to play an opponent with the tools to kill dreads quickly (MC heavy lists come to mind), you're going to get beat but quick. If you end up playing against someone unprepared for this much AV12 spam, then you'll kill them.

Hmm s would you consider this a spam/cheese list? I dont necessarily want to do that., I am just lookin gfor a low model count fun smash list

But yeah I suspect if I came up against grav guns I would not last too long

You can not have a dread in your allied detachment as heavy support, unless your allied HQ is a Master of the Forge

Give every tactical squad a pod. Even if you dont put them in them. Then you can bring 5 dreads down turn 1. If you take BA as allies you could get a further 3 dreads.

How are you taking Dreads in either detatchment as Heavy Support choices without having two Masters of the Forge?

The idea of dread drop is good, although i wouldn't take any allies, take 6 (so all the elite and heavy supports) then just take ironclads. Use iron hand tactics and you will be laughing. Your list has no MotF so you can't take all those dreadnoughts. Your Raven guard detachment brings nothing to the table in my opinion, i would maximize the iron hands.
