So checked out the kill team rules and thought what's the best way to get as many marine bodies whilst maximizing on spec/heavy weapons. Then crusader squads came to mind.
Here are my questions though:
1.) How do challenges work in kill teams? This is a major point for BT due to chap tactics.
2.) Do vehicle kills count as actual kills for the leader?
3.) If the leader has a USR already and rolls for another USR can he take one or does he have to reroll? I can't quite figure out the wording for this one.
4.) How does synapse work for tyranids?
Crusader squad
5 man,
Sword brethren with flesh bane, melta bombs, chainsword and bolt pistol.
Heavy bolter with shred
Melta gun
2 Initiates with bolt pistol and chain sword.
Crusader squad
5 man,
Heavy bolter with armour bane
Plasma gun
3 Initiates with bolters
Sword brethren, ccb initiates and melta gun would form a strike squad with supporting fire from the other 6. Armourbane/shred hbs, plasma gun, meltagun and melta bombs/fleshbane should have vehicles and mcs covered. Mass horde could prove to be a problem.
