I don't see anything that says they can't...
.Only a fool believes there is such a thing as price gouging. Things have value determined by the creator or merchant. If you don't agree with that value, you are free not to purchase.

They are given permission to buy a drop pod nothing in the bikes entry restricts that and nothing in the DT section restricts what equipment a unit can take if they take a DT so why would you think this is not allowed?
