Hi all,

I was wondering if the Black Legion book added anything the way of vehicles, does it have any options for them? Or is it worth waiting for the Iron Warriors to come out?

No new vehicles.

It's fairly light on new stuff; fluff, new relics and missions, and the option to take Chosen as troops without Abbaddon the Despoiler. FLuff is interesting - though like you I'd much rather have an Iron Warriors supplement - as are the relics, but aside from that it's rather shallow.

Not to mention it actively penalizes you by forcing you to take VOTL on everything.

^This entirely. VOTLW is useful in some situations, but by no means is it essential; in fact it's never been useful for me. It would have been fine and even welcomed if it was auto-included for free with the BL book, but we get a tax instead.

If Forgeworld was handling this, you'd likely see something like that, though a penalty for it somewhere else. I.e., more creative and rewarding rules sets. But it takes FW quite some time to make army lists, and Digital Editions seems quite capable of cranking these things out with minimal rules changes. I'd like to see a happy middleground.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Yeah VOTL is about as much use to me as a chocolate teapot. I only know one marine player and I've never played him and my dice love 1's.
