I've spent ages looking at the bombs on the forum and can't find one that's as small as 1500pts is it possible to do one at this point level that is as highly competitive .

It is possible, I would just recommend that you do not max out the unit. Maybe stick with Farsight +5 suits.

Don't forget to get marker lights and long range support to help your unit.

I would also recommend getting Shadowsun to give your unit stealth and shrouded which equates to a 4+ in the open and a 2+ in cover.

No. It isn't possible under your highly competitive conditions. Nor would it be at 1850, 2k...or at all. These are the top lists in order of competitiveness (in competent hands):

Jetseer
Screamerstar
Flying Circus
Wave Serpent Spam (6+ with support above 1500)
White Scar Grav Bike Spam
O'vesa-star

Those are really the only ones worth mentioning. A proper Farsight bomb requires Tigurius at the very least and either a Tau buff commander or Shadowsun, who both have unique advantages. In no case is a Farsight bomb competitive among the top tier of lists.

Saying all that, it's perfectly possible to beat White Scars grav guns without any of the lists here. I did with a slightly spammy necron fliers list and saw someone take them out at a tourney with a three unit wraith wing at a tourney. So there's plenty room for hope even without the above....

Jetseer at the top of your list you sure???

Grav gun bikes can get RPS'd by flier spam or wraith wing sure, but that doesn't make either top tier.

As for Jetseer, in competent hands and with Fortune, it's definitely the best build. Google search Matt DeFranza's list from Battle for Salvation (which he won) if you're not sure what I'm referring to.

I'm sure that's probably right. I'm just saying that even the most "competitive" army can get taken out by another well put together list on any given Sunday, as it were.
