Hi everyone,

You may have seen on the news and read in the papers that New South Wales in Australia has just faced its worst bushfire season in decades, with damages running into the hundreds of millions of dollars. The Salvation Army have set-up an appeal fund to help with the rebuilding.

A bunch of great folks from all over world have painted miniatures from different manufacturers, and OzPainters is co-ordinating the auction effort. All proceeds will go to the Salves.

Thank you, gentlemen. We'll need all the help we can get. One of the sons of the painters involved in this actually lives out in one of the affected areas (Springwood, I think).

Since the fires began, and even now, after they have stopped, he's opened his place to the community and has continuously, tirelessly, helped those more drastically affected than himself.

The fires may have been devastating, but it has also brought out the best in people.

It's the final 24 hours of the auctions. We're doing alright - thus far, we have surpassed the amount we donated to the Salvos the last time round.
