Thunderhawk Pilot Dropping From Orbit

Hey folks, I know that Infinity is a pretty balanced game, but I wanted to get some opinion on my first 300 list, just to make sure there are no glaring issues. Any and all advice welcome. The idea is to try and keep the net rods as safe as possible to keep the order pool up, while the TAG and supporting infantry run rampage.

You're going to have folk falling over themselves asserting that there's no way you can have fun starting out with 300pts, let alone sporting a TAG.
...which is banthagak.
However, three Netrods is a good way to make sure you'll get your ass handed to you regularly, IMO. OTOH, not really another way to play a Marut, from what I've seen.
I've seen pretty much that list used to good effect but keep in mind, it's not the easiest list to play. can hit like a tonne of bricks but it'll take some smart playing. Every infinity list does, but this one a little more than some others, to say the least.
maybe lose the paramedic and the hacker naga, take one of those doc/engineers instead (good for scenarios if nothing else, and a pretty damn good unit regardless). IMO you want one of those in a Marut list, but to each his own.

Bolognesus has some good points there. You can play like that and you'll probably win as much as you'll lose depending on both player's skills.
It's not necessarily bad, but I wouldn't field it like that.
Personally I would:
...drop the Daikinis for chain rifle Myrmidons, which gives you smoke grenades to synergize with your Marut
...drop Nessaie for a Zayin for the same points but with stronger AROs
...include an engineer to repair your Marut when things go downhill. Proxies do the trick for a small cost, but you have to get used to how they need to be played.
Here's a quick list:
(Since you chose her I included Penthesilea, even though personally I'd swap her for Diomedes.)

What does combat group #2 actually do in that list?

In my list? Virtually nothing and one could of course swap two rods for a minesweeper probot or a lamedh, but then again the extra netrod is not completely pointless:
First of all it's another target for the opponent, who might overlook the fact that one of the netrods doesn't provide its order to the main pool anyway or who forgets to ask which one it is. So depending on placement and possible dispersion it might cost the opponent a couple of orders to get to the completely useless rod and destroy it without harming your order pool.
Also whenever fielding proxies it's a good idea to have a couple of netrods to provide a reliable escape route for the posthuman when your active proxy gets wounded/killed. So swapping the two rods for something potentially more useful involves the danger of eventually trapping your posthuman in a useless body and rendering the other lhost useless too.

swap the netrod with the EVO, that way something in the main order pool can actually use the order and you have a spare order to move the EVO out of trouble just in case

Personally I wouldn't. The evo is almost as easy prey as the netrod and will likely be positioned far out of sight and will hardly ever move. Netrods are much closer to the enemy, often exposed and as sitting ducks they get prioritised a lot, so the probot is a more steady order source for the main grp imho.
