Yeah it’s a shame for them. Even though he was only one member of the band he was the front man, which mean the entire Lostprophets brand is corrupted. It’s just won’t be possible to listen to their music and not make the association. Had this been the drummer or bassist they could have probably just replaced them and kept on going. But not the singer.
